Fathers’ Day

   Posted by: Ferry   in Event

Once a year, all fathers or husbands will be treated as a “king” on Fathers’ Day. That was exactly what happened to us on Fathers’ Day. How lucky we are… even though I am a father to be, but at least I can experienced the joy of that special day.
I wish my dad was there… :)

This year my local church held this event at church member’s apartment rooftop. The food was great, the view was great, all the waitresses (our wives:)) were great… everything was great…

Thanks to all mothers and wives, you all great!!

Enjoy the pictures and Happy Fathers’ Day!

How to display favicon on Browser Tab

Posted by: Ferry   in Website Tutorial

What is Favicon? A favicon (short for “favorites icon”), also known as a page icon or an urlicon, is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage. A web designer can create such an icon, and many recent web browsers can then make use of them. … (definition from wikipedia)

Some of you who like to browse on the Internet by using any browser such as Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc., may notice a little icon on the left handside of the tab (see example below). I, myself, was using IE7. If you look at the picture below, you can see the difference between the page using favicon or not.

When you’re creating a website and you’d like to have a favicon show up when people go to your website, follow these steps.
We’re going to start with “how to make the icon”. The first step is to create an image (using fireworks or any other image software you desire), start with 100×100 pixels with background color or transparent (it’s your choice). Save it in jpeg format to preserve the quality.
After you are done with that, you can resize the image to 16×16. This is the size of the icon that you will need.
In order for the meta tag to recognize this image, you have to convert it into “ico” format. You can convert this image by using a free software that you can download for free called IrfanView.
After you have saved your image as an “ico” format, we then have to link that icon to the meta tag.
Look for the header part of your page and insert the meta like below:

I hope this simple tutorial will help you to present your site better….

Important Note:
1. Don’t forget to upload the icon to the appropriate folder.
2. You can rename the icon as you like.
3. Make sure your Meta for the icon is on every page.
4. Go ahead and try it for yourself…;)

Disney on ICe - Finding Nemo

   Posted by: Ferry   in Personal

Me, Fenny, Irene, Ci’Yuli and our “big sister” Yaya went to Disney on Ice - Finding Nemo.
Everything was great, lighting, costumes, and the skaters. We felt like we were in the deep ocean.
I didn’t get many great pictures from it, so this is what I have so far.

First Post

   Posted by: admin   in Personal

Hi All,

Finally, I was able to get this blog to work out fine. I’ve been looking for a nice skin and finally got one.

The original width space for the post is about 627 pixels, but i figured since i take quite a lot of pictures, I needed to expand the width to 802 px so that I’ll be able to post nice big pictures.

I will do my best to post everyday :)) I might need my some help from my wife.

Comments and concerns are welcome!
